This site aims to be a guide to some of the wonders of Tokyo life and showcase some of Japan’s most interesting destinations. It’s new, so forgive the limited content, but it had to start somewhere eh?

About me: I’m a twenty-something living in a Tokyo houseshare. I landed here at the end of August after a year teaching at a high school in a far flung region of offshore Japan. Now I’m trying something new in the big city. In a previous life I was a reporter. Before that an English student. My Japanese is limited and progress slow. But I’m trying. I have a deep fondness for food of all kind, particularly fried and cheese-ridden, and a not-so-secret penchant for 80s electronic pop. I am woefully out of  tune at karaoke but am unfortunately gripped by an urge to sing my heart out.
